Job summary

Experior Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced test & electronics technician to support NPI in engineering labs. You will set up and calibrate test handlers and wafer probers, diagnose faults, and develop prober/handler recipes to enable new product introductions.

You will review technical briefs, perform precise testing to meet quality standards, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues while generating accurate yield and progress reports. Familiarity with ATE tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in semiconductor wafer sort/wafer probe.
• Strong data reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure test handlers, including ATC, per programme requirements.
• Set up and configure wafer probers per programme requirements.
• Identify, isolate, and diagnose faults in DIBs/sockets; document findings.
• Develop and configure prober/handler recipes to support NPI.
• Review and act on engineering briefs and specs with precision.
• Execute test jobs with customer-approved quality standards; first-pass delivery.
• Liaise with engineers to resolve issues and prepare yield reports.
• Reconfiguration and routine maintenance of equipment and tester cards.
• Operate ATE tools including shmoo plot analysis and waveform tools.

Job description

To ensure smooth and efficient engineering labs operations through NPI (New Product Introduction), run engineering workorder, accurate equipment setup, timely issue reporting and/or resolution, and adherence to quality and safety standards, contributing to overall product yield, delivery performance, and operational excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Set up and configure test handlers, including Automated Test Controllers (ATC), in accordance with programme requirements.
• Set up and configure wafer probers in accordance with programme requirements.
• Identify, isolate, and diagnose faults in Device Interface Boards (DIB) and sockets; document and escalate findings in accordance with the Company’s reporting procedures.
• Develop and configure prober and handler recipes to support New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes.
• Review and act upon written engineering briefs and technical specifications with precision, seeking clarification where necessary to ensure accurate delivery.
• Execute test jobs consistently and in compliance with customer-approved quality standards, ensuring work is completed correctly on first execution.
• Liaise directly with engineers to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner and prepare accurate service progress and yield reports in accordance with the Company’s documentation standards.
• Perform reconfiguration and routine maintenance of equipment and tester cards as required.
• Operate Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) engineering tools, including shmoo plot analysis and waveform tools, to support diagnostic and engineering debug activities.
