Job summary

Micron Technology Malaysia is seeking a Test Equipment Technician to install and maintain manufacturing equipment and sustain key performance indices through continuous improvement. Responsibilities include transfer, setup and buyoff of test equipment for manufacturing ramp‑up, ensuring uptime with hands‑on troubleshooting, performing scheduled PMs, and managing spare parts, tools and meters.

Diploma in Mechanical or Electronic/Electrical Engineering and more than 1 year of related experience

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical engineering or electronic/electrical engineering.
• More than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Good understanding of semiconductor testing equipment processes.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, setup and buyoff of test equipment for manufacturing ramp‑up.
• Sustain equipment uptime with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as per plan.
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion as required.
• Manage spare parts, tools and meters.
• Assist engineers with equipment modifications as directed.

As a Test Equipment Technician, you are responsible for the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Sustain and improve key performance indices of the equipment through continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hand on trouble shooting on the equipment
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management
• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

Requirements

• - Diploma in mechanical engineering & Electronic/Electrical Engineering

Highly motivated individuals with more than1 year working experience are encouraged to apply Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes. In-depth knowledge & hands on experience will be a plus point. A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
