Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tester hardware and production equipment. You will diagnose issues, calibrate equipment, and support upgrades to sustain high uptime.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applicable to electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automated equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment documentation and maintenance procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to established schedules and procedures.
• Complete corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on tester hardware and equipment-related failures.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and system-related issues to restore equipment operation.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, utilization, and uptime.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, upgrades, and validation activities.
• Analyze equipment logs, alarms, and operational data to determine root causes of failures.
• Perform equipment calibration and verification activities as required.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and manufacturing teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and repair history.
• Support spare parts management and inventory control activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment effectiveness and productivity by leveraging AI.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards during maintenance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical disciplines!
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills!
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automated equipment systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment documentation, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or automated production environments.
• Hands-on experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and automation equipment.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and reliability improvement techniques.
• Experience analyzing equipment logs and performance data.
• Basic programming, scripting, or automation knowledge is an advantage.
