Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Malaysia seeks a Test Maintenance Technician to sustain Final Test operations in a high-volume semiconductor environment. You will maintain test performance, support equipment and hardware, and help ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Key duties include performing PMs on ATE testers and handlers, replacing consumables, calibrating instruments, troubleshooting hardware issues, and supporting Failure Analysis with data for root cause.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electronics and mechanics.
• Experience with ATE platforms (UltraFLEX, V93K, T2000) and handlers is a plus.
• Familiarity with handler/prober mechanics and thermal control systems.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills; able to spot patterns.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, and 3/6 monthly preventive maintenance on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors.
• Clean and replace consumable parts like contactor pins, sockets, and indexers.
• Calibrate test system instruments (voltage sources, digital pins, PMUs).
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in the test cell (mechanical, electrical, thermal).
• Support Test Engineers by correlating failures and collecting data for root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineers on process improvements to resolve yield issues.
• Participate in failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Prepare and maintain test-related documentation and reports.
