Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Malaysia seeks a Diploma-qualified tester/equipment maintenance technician to maintain tester functionality, perform DV, support new tester setups, and uphold safety and ISO standards.

You will optimize test setups, support yield improvements, and have authority to stop a tester if quality or safety issues arise. The role includes housekeeping and continual improvement as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering or relevant.
• At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience; some positions may be considered by the hiring manager.
• Experience in testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tester operating minimize test equipment down time.
• Responsible for the periodic DV of tester.
• Improve test setup ergonomic and test operating efficiency thru elimination, simplification, integration and automation approaches.
• Support test yield and testability enhancement project for all products; improve performance of tester and reduce over rejection.
• Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
• SPC monitoring of tester performance.
• Practice Risk Based Thinking in planning and execution of task.
• Authorized to stop any tester if the tester facing quality or safety issue.
• Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
• Derive Continual Improvement and Practice Risk Based thinking.
• Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
