Job summary

Coherent is expanding in Malaysia and seeks a Diploma-qualified Equipment Maintenance/Tester technician in Ipoh to minimize tester downtime and ensure optimal operation. You will perform design verification of testers and implement improvements in test setup through simplification and automation.

The role emphasizes safety, SPC-based monitoring, and adherence to ISO standards while supporting multiple product lines and ongoing efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or relevant.
• At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience.
• Experience in testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.
• Experience in tester debug or verification.

Responsibilities

• Minimize tester downtime and ensure optimal equipment operation.
• Perform periodic DV of testers.
• Improve test setup ergonomics and operating efficiency through simplification, integration, and automation.
• Support test yield and testability improvement projects across products.
• Reduce tester over-rejection and improve tester performance.
• Monitor tester performance using SPC.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, ESD, Cleanroom, and Housekeeping requirements.
• Apply Risk-Based Thinking in task planning and execution.
• Authorized to stop any tester with quality or safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, company rules, regulations, and applicable codes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
