Job summary

The TEST ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN role supports the company’s quality and testing efforts by performing electrical, mechanical, and thermal tests, maintaining test documentation, and contributing to data-driven decisions.

The position requires hands-on lab work, calibration of equipment, and collaboration with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, written and spoken.
• Experience with electrical or mechanical measurements in industrial electronics.
• Equivalent qualification or industrial experience in measurement roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new test cases from internal/external requests and test pools.
• Perform tests/measurements (electrical, mechanical, thermal, etc.).
• Run basic laboratory automation and simple equipment programming.
• Execute and validate digital credential tests for mobile wallet platforms.
• Measure and inspect parts per drawings or instructions.
• Support failure analysis with internal/external customers.
• Analyze data and deliver results as measurement reports.
• Calibrate instruments internally and maintain related documentation.
• Coordinate external calibration with labs and update databases.

As our TEST ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN you’ll support HID’s success by:

• Prepares new test cases coming from internal and external customers and test requests pool;
• Performs tests and measurements such as electrical, mechanical, thermal and other;
• Performs basic laboratory automation tasks and basic equipment programming;
• Execute and validate digital credential test cases for mobile wallet platforms
• Measures and controls parts according to drawing or instructions;
• Supports failure analysis activities with internal and external customers.
• Analyzes data and provides the results in the correct form as a measurement report;
• Internally calibrates measuring devices (control according to instructions and updating of documents - database)
• Externally calibrates measuring devices (sending devices to external lab and updating documents - database)
• Maintains documentation for equipment and test suits.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

• Technician, specialized in electrical and/or mechanical measurements.
• Industrial experience in the field of electronic device measurements or any other qualification deemed equivalent.

Language Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate in the English verbally and in writing. Additional languages knowledge would be a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

Computer Skills

• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• SolidWorks/ AutoCAD
• Minitab

Very good business understanding, skills, abilities, and traits necessary in this role to satisfy our customer's expectations.
