Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Penang is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to oversee ICT and FCT test yields, maintain test equipment, and debug failures. You will lead a team of technicians and collaborate with customers on test product issues.

The role requires electronics qualifications with 3–4 years of related experience and hands-on hardware/software testing expertise, including lean manufacturing awareness.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in electronics or related field with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Strong PCB troubleshooting and failure analysis skills.
• Hands-on experience with HP3070 Tester and GenRad ICT.
• Experience in hardware and software functional testing.
• Able to conduct conference calls with customers on test product issues.
• Experience leading test technicians and operators.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for test yield at ICT and FCT stations.
• Manage test equipment downtime and preventive maintenance.
• Debug test failures and minimize scrap.
• Provide failure analysis support for RMA test issues.
• Lead a group of test technicians and operators.
• Involve in DFT study for new products.

Responsible for test yield for all test station such as ICT and FCT Responsible for test equipment downtime. Plan test equipment preventive maintenance & ensure it execute as per plan. Responsible to debug all test failure boards & minimize hard-core scrap. Provide technical support to failure analysis for RMA related to test failure Involve DFT study for all new products and prototyping activities Determine test process requirements from product specifications. Degree caliber level in electronics or related disciplines with 3 to 4 years of related experiences. Have good knowledge in PCB trouble shooting and failure analysis Hands on experiences in HP3070 Tester, Genrad in Circuit Tester (ICT) including hardware maintenance and software program is preferred. Have good knowledge on functional test in hardware and software. Able to handle conference call with customer related to test product technical issue. Able to lead a group of test technician & test operators Knowledge / experience of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S would be an advantage.
