Job summary

A technology company in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, is looking for an experienced test engineer. You will lead instrument test transfer activities, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain the test environment. The ideal candidate holds at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and has over 5 years of experience in test engineering. Strong debugging skills, proficiency with relevant tools, and excellent communication skills are essential. This role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Lead instrument test transfer and validation activities, including all tasks related to production transfer.

• Troubleshoot and repair production non-conformities; support root cause isolation and ensure production plan attainment.

• Validate and release test programs, procedures, and related documentation.

• Build, configure, and maintain the production test environment (fixtures, instruments, and test stations).

• Handle after-sales repair for returned/defective units and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering/Science (Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related fields).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in test engineering.

• Strong skills in test bring-up, debugging, and data analysis, with proficiency in relevant test engineering software/tools.

• Continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to independently prepare test reports, improvement summaries, and implement optimizations.

• Proficient in using test and measurement instruments, with basic electro-mechanical/circuit troubleshooting and improvement skills.

• Fast learner with clear communication skills and strong cross-functional collaboration.

• Accountable, proactive, and passionate at work; experience in instrumentation-related industries is an added advantage.

• A strong team player with resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
