Job summary

Plexus Corp. is seeking an experienced test engineer to continuously improve test performance and equipment. You will troubleshoot complex issues, support equipment installation and changes, and provide technical guidance for global best practices.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical with 8+ years in EMS or test, proficiency in PCBA test, RF debugging, and Teradyne Eagle testers. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with customers are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics/electrical engineering or equivalent with 8+ years EMS or test experience.
• Intermediate test engineering skills in PCBA test, RF debug/testing, and Power OTS equipment.
• Experience with Teradyne Eagle testers (ETS88/364/800).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Robust analytical and statistical analysis skills; SPC software exposure.
• Understanding of schematic design and interconnects.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with teammates and customers.
• Lab/test/measurement equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops innovative manufacturing solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
• Communicates project technical subjects with customers via teleconference/email/in person.
• Applies full Plexus Manufacturing process on small to mid-size projects.
• Works independently across multiple phases of the process without direct supervision.
• Maintains accurate project documentation and regional/site records.

Job description

Purpose Statement: This role is responsible for continuously improving test performance and equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting equipment installation and changes, and providing technical guidance. Test engineers also play a key role in implementing and validating testing equipment and identifying best practices globally.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Develops Manufacturing solutions/ Provide services that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy all stakeholder's (customer, manufacturing, material, agency, etc.) needs and requirements through an established area of technical expertise and mentorship of others within site as it applies to their role.
• Demonstrates effective communications (teleconference, email, and in-person) through interaction with customers (internal and external) regarding project technical subject matter.
• Demonstrates expertise in the full Plexus Manufacturing process on small to mid size projects, as it applies to their role.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently in multiple phases / processes of the Manufacturing Process, without direction from mentors or functional management, as it applies to their role.
• Ensure accurate technical project documentation/ up to date regional/ site documentation in accordance with the quality, industrial standard and change management procedures and guidelines, as it applies to their role.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Electrical with 8 or more years of EMS or Equipment and Product Test is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Intermediate Test Engineering skills in PCBA Test, RF Debug and Testing, Power OTS equipment.
• Experiences in Teradyne Eagle Testers (ETS88, ETS364, ETS800).
• Intermediate Verbal and Written Communications Skills
• Strong Analytical and statistical analysis Skills; Statistical Process Control Software Skills
• Strong understand Structured Design of Schematic Diagram
• Ability to develop good working relationships with team members and customers
• Lab tool/ test/measurement equipment experience preferred
