Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, costing, and contract administration for electrical and solar projects. You will prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, prepare Bills of Quantities, and assist in tender submissions while tracking costs and opportunities for savings.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in Quantity Surveying, Electrical, Solar, or Construction industry is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of tendering, costing, and contract administration is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue enquiries, RFQ, and tender documents to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Source, evaluate, and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project costing for electrical and solar projects.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Assist in preparation and submission of tenders, quotations, and proposals.
• Follow up with clients and consultants on tender status and awards.
• Maintain tender tracking records and project award status.
• Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors for pricing and clarifications.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential savings.
• Assist Project Manager/Director in pre- and post-contract administration.
• Attend site visits, measurements, meetings, and tender briefings as required.
• Maintain proper records of quotations, contracts, and related documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
