Job summary

CHEC Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior/Executive Quantity Surveyor to assist in cost estimation and tender preparation for construction projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will review tender documents and support the QS team in costing activities, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with MS Office and QS software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities for cost estimation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates and Bills of Quantities during tendering for construction projects.
• Review tender documents, specs, and drawings to identify scope and costing.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities from drawings.
• Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers for various work packages.
• Develop unit rates and cost build-ups for tender submissions.
