Job summary

Tencent Cloud Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to drive cloud business expansion. You will design scalable, secure cloud architectures for enterprise customers and work with sales, product, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

You will act as a technical advisor, lead pre-sales activities, and deliver AI Agent MVPs within days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of public cloud pre-sales or solution architecture experience.
• Strong cloud tech skills with virtualization (KVM, Xen, LXC).
• Experience delivering AI Agent MVP deployments in days.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.
• Mandarin proficiency required for collaboration with China HQ.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, execution-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect customized cloud solutions aligned with customer objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and performance while driving successful implementation and delivery.
• Engage with customers to understand technical requirements, industry regulations, and constraints, translating these into structured solution designs.
• Act as the technical liaison between customers and backend engineering teams, communicating requirements and monitoring milestones.
• Support pre‑sales activities including technical presentations, solution demos, architecture workshops, and MVP builds for AI Agent use cases.
• Represent Tencent Cloud at industry forums, workshops, and ecosystem events in Malaysia.

What the Role Entails Tencent Cloud is seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Solution Architect to support our cloud business expansion in Malaysia. This role plays a critical part in designing scalable, secure, and industry-aligned cloud architectures for enterprise customers across key sectors. You will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring seamless execution from pre‑sales engagement through delivery. As a trusted technical advisor, you will also represent Tencent Cloud in industry engagements, strengthening our brand credibility and technical influence in the local market.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect customized cloud solutions aligned with customer business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and performance while driving successful implementation and delivery
• Engage closely with customers to understand technical requirements, industry regulations, and operational constraints, translating these into structured solution designs and actionable execution plans
• Act as the technical liaison between customers and backend engineering teams, clearly communicating requirements, monitoring milestones, mitigating risks, and ensuring on‑time project delivery
• Support pre‑sales activities including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, architecture workshops, and proof‑of‑concept initiatives to drive opportunity conversion — including rapid, hands‑on architecture and MVP builds for AI Agent use cases, working directly with customers to close the loop from concept to working solution in days rather than weeks
• Represent Tencent Cloud at industry forums, technical workshops, and ecosystem events, enhancing brand credibility and expanding technical influence in the Malaysia market

Who We Look For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in public cloud pre‑sales or solution architecture roles, preferably focused on Internet and Financial Services verticals
• Strong expertise in cloud computing technologies, particularly virtualization technologies such as KVM, Xen, or LxC
• Strong, hands‑on AI Agent delivery capability is a strong plus: real "zero-to-one" deployment experience, with the ability to work directly with enterprise customers to rapidly architect and deliver a working AI Agent MVP within days
• Comfortable working with modern AI‑assisted coding and development tools to accelerate prototyping is preferred
• Solid understanding of system architecture fundamentals with the ability to comprehend industry ecosystems and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Excellent written and spoken English is required
• Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin is required as approximately 50% of the role involves collaborating with China headquarters on business discussions, meetings, and documentation
• Proactive, responsible, execution‑driven, with strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams
