Job summary

Taylor’s International School Puchong is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join the Primary team on a 3-month temporary contract (January 2027 – March 2027).

Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons, inspire students through singing and instrumental work, and assess progress. You will contribute to performances and co-curricular activities while collaborating with colleagues to foster creativity and a love of music.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master’s Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
• 2+ years of teaching experience; international school experience is a plus.
• Ability to teach vocal and instrumental music across the Primary age range.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Genuine passion for inspiring young learners through music and the performing arts.

About the Role

• Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that cater to students’ different learning needs and abilities.

• Inspire students through a range of musical activities, including singing, instrumental performance, composition, listening, and music appreciation.

• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments in line with the school’s curriculum.

• Use technology and creative teaching approaches to enhance students’ learning experiences.

• Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Organise and support music performances, assemblies, concerts, and other school events.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support and enhance teaching and learning across the school.

What We Are Looking For

• A Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master’s Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience; experience in an international school is an advantage.

• Ability to teach vocal and instrumental music across the Primary age range.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
