Alpro Pharmacy Sdn Bhd is looking for a Telehealth Resident Doctor responsible for conducting virtual consultations, educating patients, and ensuring documentation compliance. The role involves reviewing patient reports and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Ideal candidates should have an MBBS/MD, be registered with the MMC, and have at least 1 year of experience. The position is based in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan, with various benefits including medical allowances and career advancement.
As a Telehealth Resident Doctor, you will be responsible for the following day-to-day tasks and deliverables. These responsibilities are directly tied to performance expectations and appraisal metrics:
Conduct a minimum of 50 virtual consultations daily via all platforms run by the department, assess symptoms, review medical histories, and provide diagnoses & treatment plan, adhering to guidelines, patient queue priorities and service timelines.
Educate patients on their conditions, preventive health measures and lifestyle advice.
Review and explain patient’s blood test reports providing evidence-based advice, supplement recommendations, and referrals as needed.
Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMRs) in the telemedicine system, ensuring 100% documentation compliance for each consultation.
Manage and grow your individual doctor portfolio, including patient care and service satisfaction tracking.
Adhere to legal, professional standards and uphold professional ethics, patient confidentiality and company integrity in all communications and decisions, both internal and external.
Collaborate with the Pharmacy, Nutritionist, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective cross-referrals.
Escalate red-flag symptoms or complex cases to senior clinical leads or relevant specialists within the stipulated time frame (e.g., within 1 hour for urgent cases).
Monitor personal KPIs (e.g., consultation response time, documentation quality, patient feedback rating) and implement self-improvement strategies to meet monthly performance benchmarks.
Support internal audits, SOP compliance checks, and regular updates of medical content or service protocols to align with MOH telemedicine guidelines.
Participate in telehealth service optimization initiatives, including pilot programs, system UATs, and patient journey feedback sessions led by the HQ Telehealth team.
Participate in monthly clinical team discussions and contribute at least 1 knowledge-sharing presentation per request and 1 internal sharing focusing on case studies, treatment protocols, or digital consultation tips.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MD) from a recognized institution
Fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Successfully completed compulsory government service in Malaysia with minimum 1 year of post-housemanship experience
Able to commute daily to Alpro HQ in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan
Willing to work on a shift basis including weekends (no overnight on-calls)
Proficient in using telemedicine platforms, EMRs, and digital consultation tools
