Job summary

Elsa Energy Sdn Bhd is seeking a Telecommunication Engineer for a 1-year contract to lead telecom activities on onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. The role requires expertise in detailed design, calculations, and specifications in line with industry standards.

The candidate should have 5+ years in oil and gas telecom, including offshore topside experience, and be a registered Professional Engineer (BEM) or equivalent. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in oil & gas, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience in telecom engineering and design for onshore and offshore facilities.
• Experience in offshore topside facilities is required.
• Knowledge of telecom standards, design codes, specifications, and industry practices.
• Professional Engineer registered with BEM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute telecommunication engineering activities for onshore and offshore facilities.
• Prepare detailed engineering design, calculations, and specifications for telecom systems.
• Develop and review engineering deliverables, including design documents and equipment specs.
• Provide engineering support for telecom systems in offshore topside facilities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Review technical drawings and vendor submissions for compliance.
• Support design reviews and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specs, and regulatory requirements.
