Job summary

PAGODA STEEL WORKS SDN BHD is seeking a Tekla Drafter with steel structures knowledge in Sungai Buloh, Malaysia. The role focuses on Tekla-based drafting and integration with AutoCAD for steel construction projects.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Tekla Structures experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with shop and fabrication drawings. Steel detailing and BIM exposure are a plus, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with Tekla Structures.
• Knowledge in AutoCAD is essential; candidate should have at least 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Experience in Steel Construction / Steel Structure is required.
• Experience in Steel Detailing, Shop Drawing and Fabrication Drawing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• System administration and customization experience in Tekla structures.
• Coordinate with the Project team for drafting and design input.
• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and material requirements.
• Develop and edit detailed shop drawings and layout drawings for steel erection.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.

TEKLA DRAFTER (Steel Structures Knowledge)

Required Skill(s): Tekla Structures & AutoCAD

Must have hands-on experience with Tekla Structures — this is a mandatory requirement.

Must have knowledge or working experience in Steel Construction / Steel Structure.

Experience in Steel Detailing, Shop Drawing and Fabrication Drawing is preferred.

Candidate without technical certification required minimum 2 years AutoCAD drafting experience.

Knowledge in AutoCAD is essential. Experience in other 3D software such as SolidWorks and others is an added advantage.

Hardworking, responsible and willing to learn.

Able to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines.

Willing to work overtime when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

System administration and customization experience in Tekla structures.

To discuss and coordinate with the Project team for drafting and design input.

Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials.

Development and editing of detailed shop drawings and layout drawings for steel erection.

Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.

Added Advantage:

Prior hands-on experience using Tekla Structures on actual steel structure projects (highly advantageous)

Good knowledge of steel structure and experience in Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, or BIM (3D Modelling)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
