Job summary

Knowles Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Equipment Technician or Senior Technician to support maintenance, repair, and optimization of plastic injection molding equipment.

The role involves hands-on work to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency, and to assist engineers with technical tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Technical Certificate in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field, at least 2 years in injection molding, and hands-on experience with mold

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certificate in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
• Experience with mold setup, process optimization, troubleshooting and tool repair.
• Knowledge of TPM, Lean and 6Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup, startup, shutdown, and changeover activities for injection molding machines.
• Monitor and adjust machine parameters to ensure high production output and quality.
• Troubleshoot injection molding related issues and perform tool repair.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on the equipment, and embark on continuous improvement.
• Maintan detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
• Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Complying to procedures: that aligned with certification of QMS, EMS, and OSH Management Systems/ Standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Maintaining and complying to procedures that aligned with certification of QMS, EMS, and OSH Management Systems/ Standards.
• Supports risk assessment activities related to process, software, and product quality in alignment with applicable regulatory and quality system requirements.

Job description

The Equipment Technician or Senior Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, and optimization of manufacturing equipment. This role involves hands-on work to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency, as well as assisting engineers with various technical tasks.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities:

Perform machine setup, startup, shutdown, and changeover activities for injection molding machines.

Monitor and adjust machine parameters to ensure high production output and quality.

Troubleshoot injection molding related issues and perform tool repair.

Perform Preventive Maintenance on the equipment, and embark on continuous improvement.

Maintan detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.

Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualification and Skills:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Tooling, Plastics Technology, or related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in plastic injection molding.

Experience with mold setup, process optimization, troubleshooting and tool repair. Have basic grinding and milling machining skills.

Preferred experience with medical device, automotive, electronics, precision molding and ISO 13485

Experience and knowledge in TPM, Lean and 6Sigma will be an added advantage.

Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
