Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad is seeking a Maintenance Engineer responsible for routine and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical assets across facilities. You will handle breakdowns per SLA, conduct site inspections, and coordinate with stakeholders for timely repairs.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and a valid driving licence. PW4 Wireman certification is an advantage, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Certified PW4 Wireman is an added advantage.
• Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel or work on standby/on-call duties.
• Experience with site inspections and report preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical and electrical assets in accordance with approved schedules and maintenance standards.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns and emergency call-outs within the SLA, including standby/on-call duties when required.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify defects, prepare reports, and ensure timely rectification with stakeholders.
• Plan, execute, and monitor daily maintenance activities while maintaining records and updating maintenance systems (RAMS).
• Supervise subcontractors, evaluate work quality and performance, and assist in contract administration, including payment certification and work verification.
• Ensure proper upkeep of maintenance tools, equipment, and assets, including monitoring scheduled waste disposal and Green House activities.
• Comply with all company policies, quality, safety, health, and environmental requirements (ISO standards and statutory regulations).

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably within infrastructure, highway, industrial, or facilities maintenance environments.
• Certified PW4 Wireman is an added advantage.
• Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel or work on standby/on-call duties when required.
