Job summary

Alcon in Malaysia is hiring a Technician II for Molding & Tooling Production Operations. You will operate molding automation and document per Good Documentation Practices to meet quality and output targets at the Johor site.

The role suits candidates with a certificate or diploma in technician/engineering. No experience is required, although relevant work background is an advantage, and you must be willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift.

• Certificate or Diploma in Technician or Engineering related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; candidate with relevant experience has an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding automation according to SOPs and document per Good Documentation Practices to meet quality and output targets.
• Perform optical tool inspection, assembly, PON setup, line clearance, and UV readings.
• Handle molding automation faults and maintain proper records.
• Perform mold cosmetic inspection and bubble check on dry lens.
• Comply with Alcon Values, Code of Business Conduct, and Health, Safety & Environment standards.
• Maintain data integrity and follow documentation procedures.

As a Technician II supporting Molding Production, you will be trusted to operate the molding automation efficiently according to SOPs and document effectively per Good Documentation Practices in meeting the quality and planned output at Johor, Malaysia. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Perform optical tool inspection, assembly, PON set-up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, UV readings and PON changeover.
• Handle molding automation operations in responsible to faults and ensure all the documentation are in proper record.
• Perform mold cosmetic inspection and bubble check on dry lens.
• Adherence to Alcon Values & Behaviors, observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conducts.
• Fully comply to Data Integrity procedure and requirements.
• Observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Health Safety and Environment Standards.

Certificate/Diploma Technician/Engineering related course

No experience required, candidate with relevant work experience would have advantage.

Must be willing to work in 12 hours weekly rotating shift.
