Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd in Sepang, Malaysia seeks an Engineering Technician to maintain utility assets and machinery in optimal condition, ensuring safety, 5S and adherence to company regulations while driving performance through the HARTALEGA Way and SHIELD values.

You will perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, air compressors and gensets, report defects, assist with repairs, and maintain ISO-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years' experience in mechanical related industry. Fresh graduates with good attitude accepted.
• Experience in welding, cutting, and grinding works is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in boiler operation, chiller operation, air compressor operation and genset operation.
• Experience in air conditioner and FCU operation.

Responsibilities

• Install, breakdown maintenance, and preventive maintenance for utility department equipment.
• Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, and air compressor systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance, reporting defects or required repairs to supervisors or engineers.
• Investigate utility-related problems and implement effective solutions.
• Respond to abnormal or emergency situations with immediate corrective action.
• Maintain documentation and records in compliance with ISO standards, including checklists and commissioning reports.
• Drive improvements in overall equipment efficiency (OEE) by reducing downtime and preventing breakdowns.
• Liaise with other departments or plants on activities requiring cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the work area and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
• Manage and safeguard tools, equipment, and properties while continuously upgrading skills through training.
