Job summary

The role requires a trade qualification in HVAC/HVACR and 1–2 years of hands-on experience with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• HVAC/HVACR trade qualification or certification is required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience preferred.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, gauges and multimeters is expected.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and test HVAC/refrigeration systems per specs and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing for HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors and condensers.
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with regulations and safety protocols.
• Conduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations.

Vic Tron A-Cond Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Technician - Air Conditioning (HVAC) to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality air conditioning and refrigeration services to our clients. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial and industrial properties. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable and professional service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and test new air conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with specifications and industry standards
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing on HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults and breakdowns in air conditioning and refrigeration systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
• Repair or replace faulty components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats and refrigerant lines
• Handle refrigerants responsibly and in compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to determine customer requirements and provide technical recommendations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and service documentation
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices whilst working at client sites
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding technical issues, solutions and maintenance requirements
• Support team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualification or certification in HVAC/Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry/Electrical/Engineering/Mechinical Field
• Fresh Grad / Have Experience Minimum 1 to 2 year(s) of hands-on experience in air conditioning and refrigeration installation, maintenance and repair
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, gauges, multimeters and other specialised HVAC equipment
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and their interaction with HVAC components
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics and system design principles
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various client sites
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
