Job summary

ON Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Equipment Technician to join the Equipment Management team.

The successful candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring equipment performance, supporting installation and commissioning, and ensuring safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
• Experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and execute timely repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support shift operations when required.
