Job summary

ASE SEMICONDUCTOR (PENANG) SDN. BHD.

is hiring a Technician 1, Quality Assurance (Diploma Holder) to support production, engineering and other departments in driving product quality and process efficiency. The role assists QA Engineers in MRB investigations, conducts in-process and visual inspections, maintains inspection records and audit documentation, and participates in internal and external quality audits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 1–2 years of QA, quality inspection, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA tools and methodologies as listed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production and engineering to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Assist QA Engineer in MRB investigations and verification.
• Conduct in-process inspections using QA equipment and methods.
• Perform visual inspections to detect defects per specifications.
• Maintain inspection records, quality reports and audit documentation.
• Raise MRB for nonconforming material following MRB criteria.
• Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits.

Technician 1, Quality Assurance (Diploma Holder)

Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to improve product quality and process efficiency.

Assist QA Engineer in the MRB investigation and perform verification.

Conduct in-process inspections using QA equipment and methodologies.

Perform visual inspections for defects, ensuring compliance with company specifications.

Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and audit documentation.

Raise MRB for non-conformance material in the prod line following MRB spec criteria.

Perform MSA (AR&R & GR&R) for QA Equipment and Maintained the golden sample for AR&R and GR&R purpose

Perform verification on QA equipment half yearly to make sure it meeting the required specifications.

Participate in internal audits, products audit and support external quality audits as required.

Qualifications

Education

Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.

Experience

1–2 years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or manufacturing environment.

Technical Knowledge

Understanding of quality tools and methodologies:

• 7 QC Tools
• 5 Why Analysis

• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with measuring equipment such as:
