To assemble, test, and troubleshoot mechatronic systems according to established processes and work instructions, ensuring products are built safely, correctly, and meet the required quality and functional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual, cabinet, and automated assembly of mechatronic systems according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare and handle components, tools, materials, and equipment required for system assembly.
- Set up and use the required tooling and equipment for the assigned assembly process.
- Perform assembly activities accurately and ensure all components are correctly installed and connected.
- Carry out basic adjustments and corrections during the assembly process.
- Identify assembly defects, abnormalities, or process issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain proper handling and traceability of components and assembled systems.
2. Adhesive & Dispensing
- Prepare and apply adhesives using the approved dispensing equipment and process.
- Set up and operate manual dispensing equipment according to work instructions.
- Ensure correct adhesive application, quantity, and bonding quality.
- Identify common adhesive and dispensing defects and take preventive or corrective action.
- Maintain dispensing equipment and work areas in proper working condition.
3. Functional & Safety Testing
- Set up systems and required applications for functional and safety testing.
- Perform low-voltage functional tests and safety tests according to established procedures.
- Follow all required safety procedures when handling and testing electrical and mechatronic systems.
- Check test results and correctly record test failures in the relevant system.
- Read and understand basic test failure logs and identify possible causes of failure.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of test equipment, hardware, and system-related issues.
- Escalate complex or recurring test failures to the relevant technical team.
4. Quality & Process Compliance
- Check completed assemblies and test results to ensure products meet required quality and functional standards.
- Follow approved processes, work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards at all times.
- Identify and report quality issues, process deviations, and equipment problems.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring assembly or test failures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area.
5. Equipment & Test Setup
- Ensure assembly tools, test equipment, and workstations are properly set up and ready for use.
- Monitor calibration and maintenance status of relevant equipment and report when servicing or calibration is required.
- Perform basic checks and self-tests on test equipment before use.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of basic equipment and test setup issues.
- Escalate equipment or process issues according to the established escalation process.
6. Team Support
- Share technical and process knowledge with other technicians and new employees.
- Provide practical guidance to new team members on assembly, testing, equipment, and work procedures.
- Support the team during production issues and take additional responsibilities when required.
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. (Fresh grads are welcomed).
- Experience in system assembly, manufacturing, testing, or a similar technical production environment is preferred.
- Able to read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and assembly procedures.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic systems.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to operate basic assembly and test equipment.
- Good understanding of safety procedures when working with electrical and test equipment.
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willing to learn and obtain the required technical competencies for System Assembly, Adhesives & Dispensing, Functional Testing, and Safety Testing.
- Willing to travel to the Netherlands for training purposes (minimum 3 months)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with functional and safety testing of electrical or mechatronic systems.
- Experience with adhesive application and dispensing equipment.
- Experience reading test logs and performing basic failure analysis.
- Familiarity with calibration and maintenance requirements for test equipment.
- Experience supporting 8D or root cause analysis activities.
