Job summary

Job description

The Breakdown/Corrective Maintenance Shift Technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks on port equipment, including container handling and sulphur handling equipment. It involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. The Technician will work under the supervision of the Shift Senior Technician and contribute to the overall maintenance and reliability of port equipment.

SPT Services Sdn. Bhd. (SPTS) is a subsidiary of Johor Port Berhad, a member of MMC Group and is the operator of the Pengerang Integrated Complex's (PIC) Solid Product Jetty (SPJ). SPJ is a tailor-made facility designed to manage the volume produced by PIC as well as to ensure the timely export of containerized polymer and sulphur to the market. Developed within a 6,242-acre site in Pengerang, Johor, PIC forms part of the Johor State's Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex, which is under Malaysia's Economic Transformation Programme to establish new engines of growth for Malaysia.

On 15th June 2017, Petroliam Nasional Berhad's subsidiary, PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd has signed an agreement with SPT Services Sdn. Bhd. (SPTS) for the operatorship of the Pengerang Integrated Complex's (PIC) Solid Product Jetty.

The Terminal is located at the southwest of RAPID and the Solid Products Jetty (the offshore portion of the SPJ Facility) is located approximately 1.8km into the Johor strait, within the boundaries of the Johor Port Authority. The location of the site is within the Pasir Gudang port limits, which is under the jurisdiction of Johor Port Authority (JPA). JPA is vested with the powers under the Port Authorities Act (1963) to regulate all marine and port activities within Pasir Gudang port limits.
