Job summary

TF-AMD Penang seeks a Quality Technician to support semiconductor assembly and testing in a fast-paced production environment. You will set up equipment, collect data, and assist with yield improvement and process efficiency.

Job description

• Collect and analyse data and prepare evaluation reports.

3. Quality Technician

• Assist engineers with corrective actions, quality improvement, and failure analysis reports.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and comply with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Operate, set up, and maintain semiconductor assembly production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Resolve equipment issues and minimise production downtime.
• Support equipment installation, ramp-up, and conversion activities.
• Assist in training operators and technicians on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Follow work instructions and comply with safety, quality, and 5S requirements.
• Perform board debugging and functional testing.
• Read schematic diagrams to troubleshoot electronic and hardware issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot testing and production equipment.

Job Requirements :

• Diploma in Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of SKM Level 3 in a relevant technical field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
• Basic troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to work shifts when required.
