Jora Malaysia is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform repairs, servicing, and maintenance according to RO instructions in a fast-paced workshop in Malaysia. You will diagnose vehicle faults, ensure first-time fix where possible, and follow manufacturer guidelines to meet quality standards.
You will support workshop operations, guide junior staff, maintain tools, and uphold 5S and safety practices while contributing to productivity and customer satisfaction.

Carry out repair, servicing, and maintenance work according to Repair Order (RO) instructions.
Ensure all repair and service tasks are completed accurately within required timelines and quality standards.
Follow manufacturer guidelines, technical procedures, and company service standards.
Perform accurate diagnosis of vehicle complaints using proper tools and procedures.
Ensure issues are rectified correctly on the first visit whenever possible.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults efficiently.
Escalate complex issues to superior when necessary.
Support workshop operations and cooperate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Guide and assist junior team members when required.
Share technical knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
Maintain professionalism and positive teamwork within the workshop.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safekeeping of workshop tools and equipment.
Monitor tool condition and report any damage, shortage, or breakdown immediately.
Ensure diagnostic equipment is handled properly and kept in good working condition.
Promote and maintain 5S practices to ensure a clean, organised, and efficient workshop.
Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Follow workplace safety practices, proper PPE usage, and safe handling of tools and vehicles.
Support achievement of workshop targets in Labour Utilisation, Productivity, and Efficiency.
Monitor job progress and minimise delays or repeat repairs.
Continuously improve technical skills, efficiency, and workmanship quality.
Recommend improvements to enhance workshop performance and customer satisfaction.
Complete job cards, technical reports, and internal documentation accurately and on time.
Highlight major repair findings or repeated issues to management when necessary.
Perform any other duties or assignments as instructed by superior or management.
Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with up to two (2) years of working experience in automotive repair will have an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Willing to learn and undergo technical training.
Able to use basic automotive tools and workshop equipment.
Good physical condition and able to work in a workshop environment.
Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Melayu. Basic English communication will be an added advantage.
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Possess a valid Class D driving licence.
