Job summary

Quantum seeks a storage solutions specialist to act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support on unstructured data workflows across the Quantum product portfolio. You will engage directly with customers and partners, translating needs into effective designs and collaborating with engineering to drive improvements.

Candidates should have strong storage knowledge, UNIX/Linux skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English, spoken and written.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 2+ years in tech-support.
• Strong knowledge in enterprise storage solutions and customers.
• Experienced in Primary, Secondary and Hybrid storage technologies.
• Strong knowledge of M&E technologies, workflows, and applications.
• Data protection, backup, recovery, and archival methodologies.
• UNIX/Linux system administration knowledge (Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, Linux).
• VMware familiarity and VCP is a plus.
• Fiber channel, iSCSI and SCSI networking, SAN fundamentals.
• Experience with backup products (NetWorker, NetBackup/Backup Exec, CommVault).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and technical support on Quantum solutions.
• Provide guidance on solution implementation and ensure optimal performance.
• Isolate problems across product, ecosystem, or backup hosts/software.
• Engage directly with customers to understand needs and build relationships.
• Lead design of innovative storage solutions across defined market verticals.
• Collaborate with product engineering for feedback and improvements.
• Demonstrate leadership and promote high standards of personal performance.
