Job summary

STRATEQ is seeking a field-ready Electronics/Hardware Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain POS equipment and related devices. You will perform board-level repairs, component replacements, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation across customer deployments.

The role requires strong soldering skills, experience with PCB repair, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electronics. On-site work in Malaysia with occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics repair and diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot POS systems and peripherals.
• Strong soldering and board-level repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair POS equipment, electronic devices, tablets, and related peripherals.
• Perform hardware, component-level, and PCB board repairs, including soldering, desoldering, circuit troubleshooting, connector repairs, and board-level repairs.
• Replace faulty components such as screens, batteries, storage devices, power supplies, circuit boards, and other hardware modules.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
