Job summary

Tentacle Technologies is seeking a seasoned Technical Lead (Architect) to drive modernization and lifecycle management of enterprise virtualization and compute infrastructure in Malaysia. The role focuses on architecting large-scale Nutanix HCI transformations while mentoring teams and shaping executive-level technology strategy.

Responsibilities include leading platform architectures, migrations from legacy VMware to Nutanix, and delivering executive-level roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in infra architecture, platform engineering, or senior IT leadership in large enterprises.
• Deep expertise in Nutanix (AOS, AHV, Prism), VMware vSphere/vCenter, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong understanding of HCI, converged infra, SAN, and hybrid cloud integration.
• Automation scripting and orchestration with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead target-state platform architectures for Nutanix virtualization, DR, and HA.
• Architect and migrate from legacy VMware to Nutanix HCI at scale.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex compute/virtualization issues and design reviews.
• Define standards and drive IaC adoption with Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell.

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead (Architect) to drive the strategic design, modernization, and lifecycle management of enterprise virtualization and compute infrastructure within the technology sector. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to architect large-scale Nutanix HCI transformations while mentoring teams and shaping executive-level technology strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of target-state platform architectures, defining standards for Nutanix virtualization, DR, and HA
• Architect and execute large-scale migrations from legacy VMware environments to modern Nutanix HCI ecosystems
• Serve as senior escalation point and advisor for complex compute and virtualization challenges, overseeing design reviews and POCs
• Define engineering standards and drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell
• Partner with storage, networking, and application teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives and compliance needs
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations on technology strategy, risks, and modernization roadmaps

About you

• 15+ years in infrastructure architecture, platform engineering, or senior IT leadership within large enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in Nutanix (AOS, AHV, Prism), VMware vSphere/vCenter, and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Strong understanding of HCI architecture, converged infrastructure, storage (SAN), and hybrid cloud integration
• Proven proficiency in automation scripting and orchestration tools such as PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and manage stakeholders under pressure
• Active Nutanix or VMware certifications are an advantage
