Job summary

Stone Forest Malaysia Sdn Bhd, part of the Stone Forest Group, seeks a Technical Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead cloud and on-premise deployments for clients in Singapore. You will improve managed services, design implementation strategies, and train the service delivery team to maintain technical competence for growing business needs.

The role requires at least 10 years of hands-on IT infrastructure deployment experience and strong Azure/AWS skills, with excellent communication and the ability

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years hands-on IT infrastructure deployment and project management.
• Preferably experience deploying and/or managing Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Independent and able to work within tight timelines with good prioritisation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to IT compliance and governance.
• Strong understanding of IT security in IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Propose and evaluate new cloud service technical solution offerings relevant to the business model.
• Design, simplify and automate implementation strategies with quality focus.
• Support the service delivery team in managing cloud project deployment.
• Plan, organise and manage technical training of the cloud solutions for service delivery teams.
• Report to Business Unit Head on issues impacting the business.
• Adopt a risk-based approach balancing technical feasibility and client requirements.
• Support client service team in making sound technical decisions in clients' best interest.

Job Description

The Technical Manager

assists in improving our managed service offerings and ensure success in deploying cloud and on-premise solutions for our clients.

• Propose and evaluate new cloud service technical solution offerings that are relevant to the business model and clientele we are serving
• Design, simplify and automate the implementation strategies while ensuring tip top quality
• Support the service delivery team in managing cloud project deployment
• Plan, organise and manage technical training of the cloud solutions for service delivery team team to ensure technical competency is maintained to fulfill growing business requirements.
• Report to Business Unit Head on any issue that could significantly impact the business
• Adopt a risk-based approach in balancing between technical feasibility and client requirements
• Support client service team in making sound technical decisions with the best interest of the client at heart

Requirement

• Minimum 10 years’ hands-on experience in deploying and managing projects from IT infrastructure design and deployment to post-implementation support for medium-sized companies
• Preferably experience in deploying and/or managing Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Independent and able to work independently
• Able to work within tight timelines with good prioritisation skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to IT compliance and governance
• Strong understanding of IT security in IT infrastructure
