Job summary

STACK APAC is seeking a Technical Design Coordinator to support its modular products programme. You will perform hands-on 2D drafting and 3D modelling, coordinate multidisciplinary design, and prepare technical documentation for tendering and manufacturing.

You will collaborate with internal technical owners, consultants, suppliers and the Manufacturing Operations team on products such as containment systems, power train units, skids and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design & drafting: Develop 2D drawings and coordinated 3D models using Revit and CAD/BIM tools; produce layouts, assemblies, details and schedules.
• Design completion: Maintain design deliverables registers, coordinate interfaces, track RFIs and close out actions.
• Tender documentation: Prepare scopes of work, drawings, BOMs, quantities and tender packages; support clarifications and vendor comparisons.
• Product documentation: Maintain standard details, model families, drawing registers, revisions and procurement documentation.
• Technical coordination: Align with consultants and vendors to resolve clashes and interface issues; document decisions and changes.
• Manufacturing handover: Compile approved-for-manufacture documentation and address deviations for approval.
• Governance & safety: Apply document control, design review, change management and safety processes.

The Position:

The Technical Design Coordinator supports STACK APAC’s modular products programme, providing hands-on 2D drafting and 3D modelling, coordinating multidisciplinary design completion, and preparing technical documentation for tendering and manufacturing. The role supports products such as integrated containment systems, power train units, skids and power distribution equipment, working closely with internal technical owners, consultants, suppliers and the Manufacturing Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & drafting: Develop and maintain accurate 2D drawings and coordinated 3D models using Autodesk Revit (preferred) and appropriate CAD/BIM tools; produce layouts, assemblies, details and schedules.
• Design completion: Maintain design deliverables registers, coordinate structural, mechanical and electrical interfaces, track RFIs and comments, and close out outstanding design actions before release.
• Tender documentation: Prepare and compile scopes of work, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, quantities and RFQ/tender packages; support technical tender clarifications and comparison of vendor submissions.
• Product documentation: Maintain standard details, model families, drawing registers, revisions, configuration records and controlled issue packages for procurement and manufacturing.
• Technical coordination: Coordinate consultants and vendors to resolve clashes, dimensional discrepancies, access/maintenance constraints and manufacturability issues; document decisions and agreed changes.
• Manufacturing handover: Compile approved-for-manufacture documentation, assist with technical queries and ensure proposed deviations are referred to the responsible technical authority for approval.
• Governance & safety: Apply STACK document control, design review, change management and relevant safety and quality processes; escalated risks to design completeness, compliance and schedule.

Must-have Qualifications:

• Qualification or equivalent experience in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, BIM or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical drafting, 3D modelling or design coordination, preferably within modular construction, manufacturing or data centre infrastructure.
• Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D modelling, with Autodesk Revit preferred, including the ability to develop, modify and coordinate models and produce detailed technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of multidisciplinary design coordination across structural, mechanical and electrical services, including clash detection and technical interface management.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, drawing packages, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications and tender documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and document management systems, with an understanding of drawing registers and revision control.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate design deliverables and work collaboratively with consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
