Job summary

Reap is seeking a senior technical contributor to lead its Security & Identity Platform. You will own architecture and delivery for authentication, fraud protection, access governance, and data residency while remaining hands-on with the codebase.

This IC role requires 8–10+ years in backend/platform engineering, deep AWS experience, and strong TypeScript/Node.js skills. You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and enable secure growth in a global fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in backend or platform engineering, with hands-on ownership of security‑critical services or shared identity infrastructure.
• Experience leading architecture decisions and mentoring engineers in an IC role.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, MFA, and access control, with secure-by-design practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate the shared identity layer across Reap's products, including login, session management, and MFA.
• Develop platform capabilities to detect and prevent unauthorised access and account takeover.
• Design secure data routing and access controls with reliable audit trails.
• Lead architecture reviews and set engineering standards for security platforms.
