Job summary

NSS IT Solution Sdn Bhd in Sepang, Selangor is seeking a hands-on Software Development Team Lead to guide a small engineering team responsible for a monolithic application and growing microservices. The role blends technical leadership with coding, architecture decisions, and mentorship.

You will split time between technical work and leadership, manage 3-5 engineers, own sprint planning, and collaborate with product and DevOps to deliver reliable, scalable systems across both architectures.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of software development experience.
• Experience with monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Strong polyglot background across multiple languages.
• Solid REST API design and messaging systems knowledge.
• 1-3+ years of lead/mentorship experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment across monolith and microservices.
• Guide architecture, data consistency, API contracts, and inter-service communication.
• Mentor 3-5 engineers and own sprint planning and delivery timelines.
• Hands-on coding and reviews (~40-50% of time).
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other teams to align roadmaps.
