Responsibilities include managing workflow, tracking schedule changes, and improving production processes to enhance turnaround times and client satisfaction. Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Team Leader for English Subtitle Team provides strategic guidance and operational direction to align team performance with organizational goals. This role is responsible for driving team efficiency and success through effective resource management, task delegation, conflict resolution, and performance monitoring. By fostering open communication and establishing strong accountability structures, the Team Leader ensures individual and collective excellence across all operational outcomes.

Responsibilities:-

• Managing workflow to ensure projects are completed on a timely basis and completed to high standard of quality at all times
• Track and report on schedule changes and highlight any issues to the project team and/or the client in a proactive and timely manner
• Continuously monitor and review production processes and, with the project team, implement improvements that will result in improved turnaround times, decreased costs of production and/or improved client satisfaction
• Escalate any issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact on quality, budget and timeline
• Manage day-to- day client interaction by setting and managing client expectations
• Regularly and proactively provide feedback to editors on projects to ensure continuous improvement.

Experience & Qualification required:-

• At least 3 years of experience in the subtitling industry, with a strong background in subtitling, dubbing, or post-production.
• High proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (grammar, written, and spoken); fluency in additional languages is an added advantage.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills with a strong ability to track and deliver on multiple tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and keep projects on schedule under fast-paced, aggressive timelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate calmly and effectively with management, cross-functional teams, and external clients.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve day-to-day operational issues smoothly.
• Extreme attention to detail, strong technical capabilities, and a commitment to high-quality outputs.
