Job summary

UCSI International School Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for teaching and a solid understanding of the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). The ideal candidate should ignite excitement and inspiration in students while fostering enthusiasm.

The candidate will support Early Years classes, participate in extracurricular activities, and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver engaging learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor's degree in English or Education.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
• Willing to work at Kuala Lumpur campus.
• Flexible to work extra hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary classes (Early Years) with some admin duties as directed.
• Teach about 75% weekly load; other related responsibilities may be allocated.
• Provide diverse learning experiences aligned to students' needs.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, clubs and student organizations.
• Keep up to date with developments in the subject area, teaching resources and methods.
• Perform other duties relating to the above as assigned by supervisor.

Commencement Date: 28 December 2026

Duties & Responsibilities

• To teach primary classes (Early Years) with some administrative duties as directed by your supervisor.
• Teach about 75 percent weekly load; if the teaching load is lower, other related responsibilities will be allocated, which may include but are not limited to, school events and student welfare.
• To provide a variety of learning experiences that actively engage students and are appropriate for their individual needs.
• To participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
• To keep up to date with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods.
• To perform all other duties relating to the above that may be assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree majoring in English/Education or its related field of studies.
• Can work in the Kuala Lumpur campus.
• Excellent command of English in both written and spoken.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
• Good communication skills and time management skills. Willing to work in a team and follow instructions given.
• Dedicated and passionate about education. Able to work extra hours when required.
• Having a positive attitude, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
