Job summary

UCSI International School Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites a Teaching Assistant with a passion for teaching and a solid understanding of the IPC to join our Kuala Lumpur campus. You will support primary classes (Early Years) and assist with admin tasks while fostering student enthusiasm.

The successful candidate should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in English or Education and have strong English communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent command of English, in writing and speaking.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a school.
• Willing to work at Kuala Lumpur campus and be a team player.
• Able to work extra hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary (Early Years) classes with some admin duties as directed by supervisor.
• Teach about 75 percent weekly load; other duties may be allocated (events, student welfare).
• Provide varied learning experiences engaging for individual needs.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and clubs.
• Keep up to date with developments in subject area, resources, and methods.

We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant who has a genuine passion for teaching and a solid understanding of the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). The ideal candidate should have the ability to ignite excitement and inspiration in students while fostering and nurturing their enthusiasm.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To teach primary classes (Early Years) with some administrative duties as directed by your supervisor.
• Teach about 75 percent weekly load; if the teaching load is lower, other related responsibilities will be allocated, which may include but are not limited to, school events and student welfare.
• To provide a variety of learning experiences that actively engage students and are appropriate for their individual needs.
• To participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
• To keep up to date with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods.
• To perform all other duties relating to the above that may be assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree majoring in English/Education or its related field of studies.
• Can work in the Kuala Lumpur campus.
• Excellent command of English in both written and spoken.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
• Good communication skills and time management skills. Willing to work in a team and follow instructions given.
• Dedicated and passionate about education. Able to work extra hours when required.
• Having a positive attitude, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
