Job summary

MBSB Bank Berhad seeks a Senior Executive, Tax & Special Projects to assist the Group Head in managing tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities under Malaysian law. The role covers computations, returns, indirect taxes, provisions and statutory filings across the Group.

You will also support tax planning, transfer pricing, Zakat administration, plus other strategic projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure governance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related discipline.
• Professional tax qualification or membership with a recognised tax body would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in taxation, finance or accounting.
• Experience in banking or financial services would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns and related filings for submission to the Inland Revenue Board and RMCD.
• Prepare operating expenditure and capital expenditure schedules for MBSB Berhad and its subsidiaries.
• Prepare quarterly current tax and deferred tax computations for the Group.
• Prepare and process monthly tax payments to the relevant tax authorities.
• Prepare and submit CP204 tax estimates and CP58 declarations.
• Support compliance with withholding tax requirements and submissions.
• Review Service Tax computations and ensure timely bi-monthly submissions.
• Monitor and facilitate recovery of excess tax payments and tax refunds.
