Job summary

Deloitte Southeast Asia in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Associate for DRSC T&L – Tax Business Process Solutions. The role focuses on supporting monthly accruals, journal entries and ledger activities for multiple clients, while upholding Deloitte's standards of accuracy and timeliness.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 1–2 years in a related role, and familiarity with ERP systems (Xero/Navision/SAP a plus). Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in accounting/finance
• 1–2 years or more in a similar accounting role
• Experience with ERP systems (Xero/Navision/SAP a plus)
• Knowledge of GAAP and cost control principles
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and journal entries and reconcile accounts monthly
• Record day-to-day and monthly journals for multiple clients in the accounting system
• Assist with general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable tasks such as renaming invoices and summarising payments
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and reports
• Input inventory transactions into the inventory system
• Support other accounting tasks as needed
