Qualifications

Role Description

The TAKAFUL CONSULTANT FULL TIME role is an on-site position based in Negeri Sembilan. The consultant is responsible for advising individuals and businesses on suitable family and general takaful solutions that align with their protection and financial planning needs. Day-to-day tasks include meeting potential and existing customers, explaining takaful products and Shariah-compliant features, preparing proposals, and assisting with applications and certificate servicing. The role also involves building and maintaining long-term client relationships, participating in sales and marketing activities, and collaborating with the branch team to achieve performance targets. Consultants are expected to uphold professional ethics, comply with regulatory and internal guidelines, and continuously enhance their product and market knowledge through training and learning.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and build trust with diverse customers.
• Customer service and relationship management skills to maintain long-term client portfolios and provide ongoing support.
• Sales and basic marketing skills, with the ability to identify prospects, present solutions, and work toward individual and team targets.
• Basic financial literacy and understanding of insurance/takaful concepts; familiarity with Shariah principles in financial services is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Pelabuhan Klang, manage time effectively, and operate independently while collaborating with branch colleagues.
• Minimum secondary school certification; a diploma or degree in business, finance, or related fields is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in English and additional languages is an added advantage.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and a strong interest in helping customers achieve financial protection and security.
