Job summary

Deloitte Malaysia seeks a senior Transfer Pricing professional to lead engagements from planning through implementation, including policy design, benchmarking, documentation, APAs and dispute support.

You will manage multi‑jurisdictional projects with global offices, advise on cross‑border restructurings, M&A and operating model changes, and drive technology adoption within TP. You’ll also mentor staff and support business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Economics/Taxation from a recognized university.
• At least 5 years transfer pricing experience, preferably in a Big4 firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin/Cantonese/Japanese a plus.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with transfer pricing tech like Workiva, Anaplan.
• Advanced project management skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Candidates resident in Malaysia or eligible to work there.

• Managing multiple client engagements, balancing quality, timelines, and team delivery.
• Adopting and implementing various technology solutions developed by Deloitte globally within transfer pricing.
• Manage job economics including WIP monitoring, billing, collections, and engagement closure.
• Coaching and developing team members to support a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of transfer pricing practice.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Taxation from recognized universities or any professional qualification in similar disciplines.
• At least 5 years transfer pricing work experience, preferably in another Big4 firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to communicate in Mandarin/ Cantonese/ Japanese in addition to English and Bahasa Malaysia would be an added advantage. (While non-Malaysians may apply, please note that immigration formalities may take time)
• Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint. Operational knowledge of transfer pricing technology solutions like Workiva, Anaplan, etc. will be added advantage.
• Advanced project management skills including managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Leadership and people management skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
