Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Systems Engineer in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) to provide pre-sales support and technical consulting. You will assess customer requirements and design security solution implementations, deliver demos and proposals, and contribute to tender activities.

This role requires on-site engagement with clients across Malaysia. The ideal candidate has strong client-facing experience, excellent communication skills, and deep knowledge of Unified SASE, CNAPP, and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Experience in client-facing roles.
• Excellent oral and written communication to explain technical concepts.
• Deep knowledge in Unified SASE (SASE, SD-WAN, ZTNA, DLP) and CNAPP.
• Specialist role in NetOps and solution delivery oversight.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking to diagnose complex problems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales support and technical consulting to customers.

• Understudy customer requirements, environment, and challenges and propose/design security solution implementations for clients.
• Effectively carry out pre‑sales functions in solution offerings (proposal, demo, presentation, etc.).
• Actively participate in preparing tender documents and proposals, RFPs, RFIs and POC demos.
• Provide professional services and training for channels and distributors.
• Travel to up‑country areas and work directly with customers on‑site.

Qualifications

• Experience in client‑facing roles, assisting external customers with specific products.
• Excellent oral and written skills to explain technical concepts and frameworks.
• Deep knowledge in Unified SASE (Secure Access Service Edge, SD‑WAN, Universal ZTNA, DLP) and Cloud‑Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP).
• Specialist role in NetOps contributing to technical strategies, solution design, and overseeing project delivery.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking to diagnose complex problems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).
• Team‑oriented and cooperative in achieving shared goals.
