Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a System Test Engineering Manager to lead test strategy and automation for datacenter GPUs and AI/ML/HPC products. You will drive cross‑functional collaboration to deliver scalable test solutions and validation in manufacturing environments.

The role emphasizes hardware/software debugging, test content development, and mentoring while partnering with global teams to improve yield and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (MS preferred).
• 5+ years of post‑silicon validation experience in board or system products.
• Experience with manufacturing test programs/solutions in datacenter environments.
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash) and Linux/Unix proficiency.
• Experience with design-for-test feedback and test content development.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategy for new product features including fixtures, equipment and diagnostic software.
• Review and provide feedback for Design-for-Test in early design stages.
• Debug complex hardware and software issues during build phases.
• Define qualification, maintenance and release procedures for test solutions in manufacturing of data center products.
• Contribute to automated diagnostic generation and validation infrastructure.
• Define manufacturing hardware test solutions applicable across board and system product segments.
• Support development of test content and solutions in Python.
• Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology to improve production efficiency.
• Identify product improvement activities to reduce cost and improve yield.
