Job summary

NCS Solutions in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a skilled technician/engineer to support system stress lab operations, including platform setup, inventory management, and lab maintenance.

You will configure test platforms, manage high value hardware, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure test procedures run smoothly. The role may require shift work (Mon-Fri, 8AM-5PM).

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or technical field.
• Skills and competencies in PC assembly, hardware troubleshooting.
• 4 years' experience in PC platform related work or relevant work experience.
• Candidates should be flexible to work in shift type when the requirement arises [Default shift hours: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM].

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure platforms for comprehensive stress testing procedures.
• Equipment including PCs, equipment racks, cabling, liquid cooling systems and any other specified items.
• Measurement tools including multimeters, temperature probes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other data acquisition hardware.
• Execute stress test protocols according to established procedures and specifications.
• Monitor test progress and perform basic platform debugging and troubleshooting when issues arise.
• Report any quality incidents observed during execution into PTR system to ensure continuous improvement in lab processes.
• Manage High Value Inventory (HVI) and platform hardware including tracking, documentation, and security protocols.
• Support shipping & receiving lab equipment and test hardware (from lab to logistic).
• Maintain accurate records of all platform parts and components.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliation.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of sensitive equipment and components.
• Maintain clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment as required.
• Support lab equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on test requirements and procedures.
