Job summary

Altera is seeking a System Level Test Engineer in Penang to lead validation of FPGA-based platforms and ensure product readiness across hardware and software domains.

You will plan, execute, and automate tests, analyze data, and debug issues to root cause. Collaboration with silicon validation, manufacturing, and customer support will drive quality improvements and platform readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience defining and executing system-level validation plans and test methods.
• Experience developing automated tests, regression tests, or verification scripts with data analysis.
• Cross-functional collaboration with hardware, silicon validation, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Experience with bench or automatic test equipment validation, characterizing system performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and automated verification flows for FPGA, transceiver, and multi-chip packages.
• Perform root-cause debugging from production rejects or customer failures and implement workarounds.
• Collaborate with hardware, silicon validation, software, and manufacturing teams to assess system performance.
