Job summary

Asia Recruit is assisting a client, an established multinational equipment manufacturer with 50+ years in the semiconductor field, in hiring a System Application Engineer based in Penang.

You will resolve post-production test program issues, tailor testing solutions, develop and execute support plans, and train customers' engineers to utilize company products. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of related semiconductor IC testing experience preferred.
• Experience in Digital, Mixed Signal or RF SoC testing on ATE systems.
• Programming in C/C++ and familiarity with Windows/Linux required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

We are representing our client, an established multinational equipment manufacturer with expertise and history of more than 50 years in the semiconductor industries. They are currently looking for a System Application Engineer to be based in Penang.

Job Responsibilities:

• Resolving customer’s post production test program issues to minimize test system down-time at high volume manufacturing.
• Understanding customers’ IC testing needs and propose timely testing solutions.
• Developing and executing support plans as part of a focused customer account team.
• Test program development or productivity improvement projects based on customer’s requirement.
• Acting as the contact point for technical escalation as well as coordinating with local and overseas counterparts in resolving major issues.
• Delivering customer training and knowledge transfer to enable customers’ engineers to better utilize company products.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in semiconductor IC testing field is preferred.
• Proven experience in Digital or Mixed Signal or RF SoC testing on ATE systems.
• Programming experience in writing software program in (C/C++) and be familiar with Windows Linux operating system is required.
• Demonstrated project management, good troubleshooting and strong structured problem-solving skills.
• Strong team player with good working attitude and excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with all levels in the customer environments.
• Willing to travel within and out of country on short notices / as per work required.
