UPM Raflatac Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an experienced Automation and Electrical Engineer to design, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, and VFD systems across production lines. You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams and contribute to safe, reliable operations.

This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, RCA capability, and the ability to implement energy‑efficient improvements while supporting upgrades and cybersecurity for automation assets.

Qualifications

• Advance Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in continuous operating plant automation troubleshooting.
• Familiar with tension control systems and PLC control programming (Siemens/ABB).

Responsabilités

• Develop, modify, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA, VFD and other automation systems.
• Troubleshoot automation and electrical system failures and plant issues.
• Perform RCA and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
