Job summary

Dentsu is seeking a Sustainability Intelligence Analyst (APAC) to transform ESG data into actionable insights and robust reporting across the APAC region.

You will collect, analyze, and interpret sustainability data, build dashboards, and support data-driven decisions to strengthen our ESG performance and disclosures. Collaboration with regional teams and the Global Sustainability group is essential to deliver timely, accurate reporting.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sustainability analytics or ESG reporting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, BI dashboards, and reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions. PowerBI and Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate insights effectively.
  • Familiarity with carbon accounting and ESG reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and analyze ESG data across APAC markets.
  • Develop and maintain sustainability dashboards and BI reports.
  • Collaborate with Global Sustainability and regional teams for reporting and governance.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decisions.
  • Support external disclosures and data assurance activities.
  • Provide guidance and training on sustainability data requirements.

What your typical day will look like:

As a Sustainability Intelligence Analyst (APAC), you will play a key role in advancing dentsu's sustainability ambition of achieving Net Zero by 2040 by transforming Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data into meaningful business intelligence and actionable insights across the APAC region. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sustainability data, developing reporting dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making to strengthen the organization's sustainability performance and reporting capabilities.

Working closely with teams across the regions, leadership team, and the Global Sustainability team, you will drive the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful sustainability reporting while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across environmental and social performance. Through strong analytical capabilities and stakeholder collaboration, you will support sustainability initiatives, enhance reporting processes, and enable the business to make informed decisions that contribute to dentsu's long‑term sustainability strategy.

Core responsibilities include:
  • Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data across APAC markets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting for regional and global requirements.
  • Develop and maintain sustainability dashboards, reports, and business intelligence tools that provide meaningful insights into carbon emissions, ESG performance, and sustainability trends.
  • Partner with local markets and the Global Sustainability team to streamline reporting processes, improve data governance, and support internal reporting, external disclosures, and data assurance activities.
  • Analyze environmental and social performance data to identify trends, emissions hotspots, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations to support sustainability initiatives and business decision‑making.
  • Support carbon accounting, ESG reporting and sustainability compliance activities while ensuring data integrity and alignment with established reporting frameworks and governance standards.
  • Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders by providing guidance, training, and support on sustainability data requirements, reporting expectations, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance sustainability reporting processes, data quality, automation and business intelligence capabilities.
A bit about you:
  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline, with 3‑5 years of experience in sustainability analytics, ESG reporting, business intelligence or data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of ESG reporting frameworks, carbon accounting principles, greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing complex datasets and translating data into actionable insights, dashboards and business recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions such as Excel Marco), PowerBI, Salesforce and other reporting or business intelligence platforms, with a passion for leveraging data to solve business challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across regional teams and influence business decisions through data.
  • Analytical, detail‑oriented and naturally curious, with excellent project management skills and a continuous improvement mindset to strengthen sustainability reporting and intelligence capabilities.
