Job summary

Lam Research Corporation invites applications for a 6-month internship in Malaysia (Penang, Simpang Ampat) within the Global Operations Group. You will support daily spares planning, review demand/supply data, and help monitor inventory with cross-functional teams while learning standard planning processes and SAP/Power BI tools.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields, with CGPA 3.0 or higher, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• 6 months internship commitment.
• Degree CGPA minimum of 3.0.
• Pursuing degree in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or related.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and Power BI is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support daily spares planning activities for assigned parts, commodities, or locations.
• Review demand and supply information using planning tools and systems.
• Assist planners in monitoring inventory levels, shortages, excess inventory, and planning exceptions.
• Analyze planning data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
• Support inventory optimization and service level improvement initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Operations teams.
• Maintain planning trackers, dashboards, and documentation to ensure data accuracy.
• Learn and apply standard planning processes, inventory policies, and supply chain best practices.
• Support continuous improvement and automation projects within the Spares Planning organization.
